Gabe is like a lot of 10 year olds, but maybe a little more gifted. His father is about to get remarried and he's about to get the brother he's always wanted. His new step-brother is a really cool guy named Zack, who is from LA. He can surf and do all kinds of cool stuff.
Gabe starts to fear that he may be a geek, and he needs to hide this fact from Zack. Yes, he's going to an awesome sleep away camp for six weeks, but its SCGE (Summer Center for Gifted Enrichment) also known as Smart Camp for Geeks and Eggheads. Gabe goes and has the best time ever and makes new friends and does amazing things logic proofs and Color War.
At the end of summer camp Gabe's mom brings Zack. Gabe is able to prove to Zack that just because he's a nerd doesn't mean he's not cool. -sc-
