Now that fall has really hit us you might wonder what to do with your kids when it's raining-- How about trying some new recipes!
On the new bookshelf we have a new series of Easy Cookbooks for Kids by Sheila Griffin Llanas and Heather Alexander. This series includes Easy Breakfasts from Around the World, Easy Lunches from around the world, Easy Snacks from around the world, Easy Main Dishes from around the world, Easy Vegetarian Foods from around the world, and (my favorite) easy Desserts from around the world.
Each title features information about safety, using the kitchen, nutrition before diving into the recipes. Each of the 11 recipe gives facts about the food, about the country it comes from, tools needed, ingredients (with helpful hints for where to find less well known ingredients, and easy to follow instructions for the recipe along with some fun did you know facts.
The print is large and easy for kids to read and follow, and all have full color pictures and maps so not only do you know what your cooking, but you can see where it comes from and some of the yummy ingredients that go in to making it.
Personally I can't wait to try out these recipes. If you're the same way check out these books from the library! Click here to view these titles in the catalog.
